Use the brush if any imperfections or distractions are there and be careful while doing so. Choose a little bit larger brush than the spot you want to remove and select Content-Aware as the type. Click left to remove the spot. Continue it if necessary.

Using the Clone Stamp Tool

Using the Clone Stamp tool to remove face shine works in a parallel process in terms of choosing target areas and painting. The main benefit of the clone stamp process is that it duplicates texture, as well as color, and, in certain situations, offers a more natural-looking result.

Open your desired image, create a layer, and choose Clone Stamp Tool or press S as a shortcut.

Method: Using Frequency Separation

Consider the color and tone in your photograph as low frequency and the skin texture, blemishes, and pores as high frequency. The purpose of this process is to add shine using low-frequency information, and high-frequency information is keeping as usual. This allows for a wide-ranging retouch sans losing detail.

Step 01

Open your required image that needs to remove shine from the face.

Step 02

Right-click to make two copies of the Layer on the background and selecting Duplicate Layer. Give a name to identify quickly to the layers. Name the top Layer high frequency and the middle layer low frequency, or anything that helps you identify the layers.

In the layer panel, click on the Eye of the high-frequency Layer to hide it.

We will start working with a low-frequency option. Select the low frequency from the layer panel and then select the filter from the menu bar. Look out for Blur and Gaussian Blur option from the filter. Fine-tune the Radius slider to remove the skin detail and keep only the color. Try a setting somewhere between 2 and 4 pixels. After you make the selection, turn the high-frequency Layer back on by clicking the Eye again.

With the high-frequency Layer selected, go to Image > Apply Image via Main Menu. The setting here depends on your bit mode.

To see the photograph again, Change the Blending Mode in the Layers Panel to Linear Light.
